Dr. Tank Power Power is a substrate additive that contains nutrients for promoting root development and minerals and organic acids that promote growth of beneficial bacteria. A healthy colony of beneficial bacteria in the substrate prevents the substrate from becoming anaerobic over time.

Embed in the tank substrate. Use 1 ball for every  6" X 6 " area.

Dr. Tank Potassium Tabs are formulated to slowly dissolve in water releasing soluble potassium in the water column that can be absorbed by plants. Simply drop the required number of tabs in water as per dosing directions on the container.

How to use? 

Embed root tabs near the root of plants that uptake nutrients from subtrate in higher rates such as Cryptocorynes. Root tab can also be used to target specific plants showing nutrient deficiency. Root tabs must be used in addition to regular water column and/or substrate fertilization.

It provides both macro and micro nutrients for plants and is combined with natural iron-active laterite to boost root activation. Slow release formula allows plants to uptake the nutrients from the soil over long period of time. 

How to use?

Sprinkle a even layer covering the bottom of the tank before laying substrate. Supplement with water column and root fertilization based on types of plants in the tank.

Plants use iron to produce chlorophyll, the green pigment used to absorb light and generate energy. Fast growing plants that need a lot of light to thrive need to produce more chlorophyll to generate more energy. Additional iron aids in the process producing healthier plants with bright colors. 

Iron is relatively immobile and as such iron deficiency results in yellowing of newer leaves when older leaves may still be bright green.

General Dosing Guidelines

A special composition of various nutrients, natural organic acids and iron to revitalize plant growth and prevent whitening.

Directions: Add 2 drops / 5L / day to improve plant growth. Add 1 drop / 20L /day for continuous maintenance.

Tropica Premium Nutrition is a liquid nutrient formula for aquarium plants. It contains iron, manganese and vital micro nutrients needed by plants in trace amounts. This formula is suitable for aquariums with few or slow growing plants. It does not contain Nitrogen or Phosphorus.

How to use Premium Nutrition?

Premium Nutrition is added every week when changing the water. The pump bottle dispenses 2 mL per push. We recommend 6 mL (3 pumps per 50 L water per week), but recommend that this is set in accordance with plant requirements. For example, pale leaves often indicate lack of nutrition, but can also be due to poor growth. Echinodorus bleheri will often show lack of micro-nutrients. Regular dosing with Premium Nutrition can restore green and luxuriant leaves. Note, however, that Premium Nutrition is a fertilizer and not a medicine for dying plants.

It is recommended that minimum 25% of the aquarium water is changed every second week. If undesirable algae growth does occur, then we recommend increasing water change frequency (up to 50%) and planting additional rapid growth waterplants such as Hygrophila, Vallisneria and Rotala.

Tropica Nutrition capsules contain macro nutrients (Nitrogen and Phosphorus) essential for fast-growing and demanding plants as well as iron, manganese and vital micro nutrients. The nutrients are slowly released as the plants need them. Use Nutrition Capsules for stem plants, Cryptocoryne, Echinodorus, Vallisneria etc. – all plants with sturdy roots.

How to use Nutrition Capsules?

Nitrogen, phosphor, iron and manganese, as well as all vital micro nutrients are released by the capsules over a period of 1-2 months. Place the capsules close to the roots of large solitary plants and plants with sturdy roots.

The capsules do not fully decompose and the small balls inside the capsules will remain in the substrate after all nutrients have been released. The balls are made of resin, which is biologically harmless.

Tropica Specialised Nutrition is a liquid nutrient formula for aquarium plants. It contains macro nutrients (Nitrogen and Phosphorus) essential for fast-growing and demanding plants. It also contains iron, manganese and vital micro nutrients.

How to use Specialised Nutrition?

Specialised Nutrition is added each week when the water is changed. The pump bottle dispenses 2 mL per push.
We recommend 6 mL (3 pumps) per 50 L water weekly. However, we recommended that this is set in accordance with plant requirements. Specialised Nutrition contains, in addition to micro-nutrients, all essential macro-nutrients. The fertiliser is particularly suitable where plants display a lack of nutrition. However note that if algae growth starts, Specialised Nutrition will promote this growth.

Specialised Nutrition contains nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P). Dosage must therefore be adapted to plant absorption rates, to avoid undesirable algae growth. Where signs of algae growth develop, reduce the dosage by 50% and increase water changing frequency by 50%. Changing the water not only reduces the concentration of nutrients in the water, but also removes algae spores, remnants and other accumulated elements from the aquarium water.
