Pacific driftwood is a knotty dense wood very similar to Malaysian driftwood. It has dark and rich tones of brown, which along with the knots and shapes, provide interesting characteristics suitable for a wide variety of aquascaping styles.
Small size varies between 4-9 inches. Please contact us by email before placing order if you have specific requirements. You may also leave a note with the order indicating your preferences and we will try our best to match.
Some driftwoods can leech tannins that can result in a brown or yellowish tint to the water. The tint will reduce over time with water changes. Boiling the driftwood can reduce the tannins. Alternatively soak it in water until tint is acceptable to you.
Driftwoods have trapped air and can float why initially submerged. Soak it in water until it fully sinks before using. You can also use a heavy rock or decor to keep it submerged until it naturally sinks by itself.
